De Kastanjefabriek

The rooms are really big and come with loads of extras for a fair price. It’s a nice place, though the floors and walls are thin enough that you hear the neighbors. There was also a party during our stay, and you could feel the bass through the floor. Those things were a bit annoying, but I’d still come back.

We had a comfortable stay in clean, well-kept rooms, with choices like a Jacuzzi or a sauna. The setting is peaceful, beside a quiet river and lovely farms, while still close to what you need. The value and location are good enough that I’d still recommend the hotel. The part that let the stay down was the service: staff often seemed reluctant to help warmly, and their manner sometimes affected the atmosphere. I’d like management to arrange training for the front desk and room service staff.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including warm dishes and options for children. The hotel is a fun renovation of an old factory, with its history worked into the decor. It was all clean, and there was a little sitting area. A lovely choice for a weekend away in a quiet town and nature. There are plenty of pleasant walks right from the front door, or just a short drive away.

The rooms are roomy and nicely designed, and everything was clean and looked after. The setting is lovely, and the friendly welcome made the stay especially comfortable. A great place for a relaxing break.
