Sonnenplätzchen direkt am IJsselmeer

Our dog loved having a fenced garden, and the cobwebs outside didn’t bother us since we have them at home too. We spent a week in Chalet 203, which is well equipped and sits in a lovely spot in the second row from the sea. We didn’t miss anything in the house, and the reception was very friendly and gave us plenty of information. Enkhuizen is a really nice town. We’d love to come back.

The chalet was spotless, and we felt at home right away. We really enjoyed our stay. The IJsselmeer view is indescribable. The living room and kitchen were well equipped and more than enough for a seven day stay. The bathroom and toilet were functional.

The park, town, landlords, and restaurant were all great. The owner communicated very well and offered to arrange fixes, but by then we’d settled in and didn’t want anyone coming inside. The woman who tried to clean from outside seemed very unmotivated, to put it mildly. This was our second holiday at Enkhuizen park. Two years ago we had a great stay with no problems, but this time the chalet was a very different story. There were cobwebs inside and out, dust everywhere, a greasy, filthy kitchen backsplash, and a broken fan making unpleasant noises day and night. We couldn’t really enjoy the advertised sea view from the second row. The windows were extremely dirty inside and out, and the bushes on the property ahead of us had grown so tall that we could only just glimpse the sea. As many reviews here mention, feeling uneasy the moment you enter the holiday apartment doesn’t make for a comfortable vacation.

The bungalow was cozy, and the view was beautiful in any weather, at any time of day. We also loved Enkhuizen and found the excursion tips helpful for exploring. From the start, the Latzke family answered our questions quickly, and everyone at the park was kind and friendly. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back. Thank you!
