Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Epe-Zwolle

The food we had was delicious, and the staff were surprisingly pleasant. That’s saying something from someone who grew up in a food-focused culture. But based just on the room and facilities, I’d give the hotel one star. The room is extremely dated and falling apart, as if it was built in the 60s and never even got fresh paint. One of the bathroom’s sliding doors was missing, which we found pretty hilarious.

The staff were professional and nice, and breakfast was very good. The location worked well, and the bed was comfortable; the sheets and towels seemed fine. Still, don't expect a four-star hotel. It was decent for one night, but the place really needs more renovation. The toilet wasn't properly cleaned, there was mold on the window frames, and the bathroom, especially the shower, needs work.

The kids had a great time in the basement games room, especially the bowling alley, and there's a bar adjoining it. The rest of the facilities were brilliant. Our family room on the fourth floor was a little tired, though. The setting is a lovely place to explore the beautiful forest, with lots of trails for walking or using one of their rented bikes, manual or powered. There are several gorgeous nearby towns too, and we especially liked Elburg.

The rooms were warm and satisfactory, and the facilities were very good. It's a lovely hotel with polite, pleasant staff. Getting there involves a walk, but the forest-like setting makes it beautiful and worth it. I'd definitely come back. Congratulations!
