Casa Mooi Mechelen

The surroundings were perfect, with restaurants nearby and convenient bike lockers. The house was clean and in a beautiful spot, though we found ants in the kitchen. The beds were decent, but the bedrooms and living area were small. It’s advertised for six people, but the living space seemed better suited to four. We also had some trouble getting the ventilation working in both the kitchen and shower.

We came with six family members and had a lot of fun. There’s plenty to do nearby, whether you want something interesting or relaxing. The apartment was cozy, clean, and nicely furnished, and the outdoor area looked good with room for younger visitors to play. The ping-pong table and football goals were free to use. We ordered fresh bread each morning, which was great. A fun place for a family stay.

During the 2014 summer break, my three boys took a turbo swimming class. The small groups and two teachers worked really well. They explained things clearly and kept the kids motivated, and the lessons were very high quality. The course was well priced, especially considering how much progress the boys made in a week.

The area is nice, but the houses are small and there was a lot of noise, so it’s not a great choice if you need privacy. I’d rate the hotel at only one or two stars.
