The surroundings are beautiful, but the house is very small for six people. The dishwasher broke, so we spent the whole weekend washing dishes, and got just a €25 discount. It's definitely not cheap here. There was no parasol outside in the heat, and nobody at reception, so if you have a problem, well, you have a problem.

The cottage is okay, though the service could be better, and the outdoor terrace is only so-so. The iron garden chairs are uncomfortable, with no cushions or parasols. There's an espresso machine, but it doesn't work, and there's no toilet. I wouldn't recommend it for children. I booked because we could bring our dog, but the garden isn't fenced, so the dog can wander straight into the woods. That's a downside.

A quiet place for a peaceful holiday, with the heathland just across the street and the town of Ermelo nearby. There's no entertainment, so it's all about nature. The cottages are neat, though the limited sleeping space makes me think they're not suitable for more than two adults. Kids are welcome, and reception is good.

You can walk straight into the forest or out onto the heathland from this wonderfully quiet spot. There's not much to do, but if you want to switch off, it's an excellent place.
