Hotel De Harmonie

We had a good breakfast, and it was handy that the hotel rents out boats and bikes. Our room was roomy, with a comfortable bed and a terrace. The place by the water was quiet and clean, and the staff were kind and helpful. Parking was free and felt secure.

The eco boat was lovely, and the whole outing went smoothly. Rain was forecast unexpectedly, so the owner kindly let us push our rental start back by an hour and a half. Once the skies cleared, we could still enjoy Giethoorn's canals. We really appreciated how accommodating they were.

Starting from this location meant we set off away from Giethoorn's congested area, which was excellent. Staff made renting the two-person boat easy, and the map app they gave us worked very well. We did the four-hour loop and would have found navigation challenging without the app. Highly recommend. Mark and Nadine Woitt

The captain kept us entertained on our private boat ride through Giethoorn, answering our questions and sharing interesting background about the town. Going through the canals was such a lovely way for our family to see the village. It cost 15 euros per person. Afterward, the staff put tables together on the patio for our group of nine, where we had coffee and apple tart. A lovely experience, I'd recommend it.
