We went for a bike ride one day after renting bikes, but they were in rough shape and could do with better upkeep. The supermarket is nearby. We were there in November, and the house was lovely, with everything we needed. We were really pleased with the stay.

The garden is enclosed, so your dog can run around freely. It’s one of the most pet-friendly chalets. There’s a nice spot to sit outside when the weather’s good, and if you rent with other people, they may be staying in the chalets next door, which also have garden gates.

Bring your own entertainment apart from the summer water sports. There’s a supermarket within walking distance, and you can walk to a pub or two. The chalets are comfortable, nicely equipped and pleasant, with a kitchen that has pretty much what you need. But they’re very noisy. If you’re sharing with several families and kids, don’t expect a lie-in.

Our house was in the last row, which gave us good privacy. The houses in the middle are very close together, as you’d expect in a holiday park. Nice place.
