The farm was a refreshing change from our usual suburban life near Denver, Colorado. I stayed for a few days with my teenage girls during a longer trip from the US. I knew the area from my youth because I have family from NL, and wanted them to experience it. Hofstede 's-Gravenhoek was a wonderful place for us, with comfortable, spacious, well-equipped rooms. A little taste of farm life felt rejuvenating and special, even over just a couple of days. It also struck me as a romantic setting, though we were there as a family. Nationaal Park Oosterschelde is right by the coast, about a quarter mile from the farm. The scenery is unbelievable, with miles and miles, or many kilometers, of walking and cycling paths. You can watch birds, go to the beach, explore, or just wander or ride to your heart's content. After hearing about our stay, and probably seeing how it affected us, many of our Dutch relatives from the city started thinking about when to plan their own getaways at 's-Gravenhoek. I recommend it wholeheartedly, and our family will definitely return.

Yvonne's family made us feel so welcome and were really helpful. Their farm has a special, cozy vibe, and we found it very comfortable and gezelig. What a fantastic place to stay in beautiful Zeeland. I'd absolutely recommend it to couples or families. Be sure to book to boat trip and take in the nearby Sunset!

The beach is within walking distance, and we loved seeing the two puppies wandering around. The hosts were genuinely kind and helpful, while the new rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was a treat too, with breads, jams, chocolate, cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, eggs, yoghurt or vla, and really good coffee. We also rented an E-Bike. The bikes were new and reliable, and we felt the price was fair. We'd only just discovered Zeeland, and this homestay made it easy to fall for this part of the Netherlands. It won't be our last visit. Thanks again for everything, and sorry once more about the broken broomstick 😬 Greetings from Germany, Noah and Dennis.
