Being able to cycle to the sea, Veere, Domburg, and Middleburg made it easy to take in the Dutch surroundings. The place itself was peaceful, with lovely nature all around, including sheep and geese. The hosts were so kind and did more than expected for their guests. I've traveled all over the world, and this was one of my best stays by far. Probably my favorite vacation ever. A must-go in Europe, and on the planet.
We'd booked the apartment, but ended up being moved to the “group accommodation.” It was much too large for just the two of us, though it worked out fine and felt quite luxurious. There were several places where we could sit in the sun or relax over breakfast and dinner. Such a lovely, quiet spot. We'll be back for sure.
We had to cancel a stay for 15 people because of an emergency hospital admission. The owner wouldn't let us reschedule, which already felt very lacking in empathy. Then he kept 1300 Euros without deducting expenses and also took money from the deposit, saying he'd had administrative costs. We were treated scandalously.
Everything we needed was in the house, with plenty of room and nice surroundings. Great location too. We had a fantastic weekend.
A good setup for larger groups, with separate rooms. It was clean, and the beds were comfortable.
