The portions were really small, and the food was bland and not authentic at all. Ordering a few dishes made it expensive, beyond what the small servings alone would explain. The Peking duck barely had any duck, and the hoisin sauce was the bottled kind I can buy at Albert Heijn. Not what I expected from a restaurant.

Even though we were the last ones there and the restaurant was about to close, nobody made us feel rushed. The kitchen had just closed when we arrived, but our waiter Mace was so nice and made sure we could still order a lot from the menu. The food and drinks were delicious, came out quickly, and the atmosphere was really cozy. We’ll definitely come back if we visit Haarlem again.

The oyster mushroom pancakes really impressed me. I’d never seen anything like them offered as a vegetarian dish, and they were so tasty. The chili edamame was amazing too. Portions were filling, service was great, and lunch was excellent. I’d definitely recommend it.

The portions were tiny overall, and the brioche sandwich was barely enough for a small child. My Peking duck pancakes were bland and definitely not worth ordering: basically a thin round of dough, a little dry meat on the side, and bland carrot and cucumber. Service was frustrating too. The server seemed uninterested in helping, our orders were wrong twice, and both the food and the bill took a long time. He admitted he’d forgotten to bring the bill.
