For a very attractive price, we got an entire home, with a private entrance and two bicycles we could borrow. It’s 450 m from Harlingen Station and 1 km from the beach, the center, and the ferry to Vlieland or Terschelling. The house isn’t wheelchair accessible. If you arrive late, the key is in the key cabinet. Upstairs, the toilet is the door on the right, and the other door takes you into the home. There’s a laundry room, kitchen, refrigerator, coffee facilities, cutlery and dishes, a dishwasher, and a smart TV. The living room is spacious, with lots of magazines and cute succulent plants. The room is large, warm, stylish, and tastefully decorated. You can adjust the heating, and there are two fans for hot days. The big windows face a quiet street. The bedroom isn’t especially cozy looking, but the bed is comfortable and there’s a large wardrobe. It’s a bit odd that the shower is next to the bedroom but the toilet is in another room. I was also disappointed there was no microwave. Even with those drawbacks, I’m very satisfied and would gladly stay here again.

Everything was clean, and the apartment had a dishwasher as well as a washing machine and dryer, which was really convenient. Bring a stopper for the sink. The Jumbo supermarket is close by, and you can get around quickly from this vacation apartment in a fantastic location. We had a wonderful vacation and would love to return. Harlingen is small and charming, though there isn’t much to do. Parking in the Netherlands is always very expensive. During the day, we used the free lot by the beach, about 200 meters from Aldi, but check the parking times. In the evening, we parked wherever there was an available spot nearby.

Everything we needed was in the apartment: it was clean, roomy, and fully equipped. A lovely base for a weekend or a midweek break in Harlingen and Terschelling, with everything within walking distance.
