Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Heidehof

Getting to the hotel from the station takes a 20-minute bus ride or a taxi, since it’s quite far away. We used a voucher from Etos, and the offer was quite good. Even though we arrived late, at 2AM, they still let us check in. Our twin single beds were easy to push together, and the room had a bathtub. Breakfast was quite simple, just the bare essentials, I guess.

The room was big, but the bathroom had no ventilation, and breakfast was extremely limited. None of that was disclosed when I booked, which was very disappointing. I understand Corona is going on, but I’d still like to know exactly what I’m paying for. The staff were friendly, though services were limited. 4/10 would recommend.

The hotel’s surroundings are nice if you’re after a quiet, peaceful place, and the restaurant was great, with good choices and food that was nicely prepared and presented. Service at both the restaurant and reception was good too. The guest room was another story. Our family room, no 303, needed some restoration: two ceiling panels were broken, among other things, and the bathroom needed freshening up. Breakfast was disappointing for 16,50 euro a person. There was very little fresh fruit, really just a bowl of mixed fruit, so we couldn’t tell whether it had been freshly prepared.

We’ve been here for 6 days, and they’ve served us spaghetti bolognese every single day. I’m starting to go crazy. The rooms are mediocre at best and aren’t always clean.
