It’s a converted attic, furnished comfortably, with a bed that has an electrically adjustable slatted frame. There’s a small kitchen area with a microwave, plus unlimited coffee and tea. Breakfast is available, though it’s easy to make your own as well. You can sit on the terrace right by the water, on the side where the sun sets. It’s very atmospheric and good value for money. The location also works perfectly for day trips to Egmond aan Zee, Bergen, Bergen aan Zee, and Alkmaar, which is only 10 minutes away.

I stayed in the attic room at Dijk43, a B&B in a shed beside Daisy's house, right by a canal. The room is neat and clean, and the beds are good. Its roof slopes on two sides, and the floor creaks quite a lot, which could bother anyone staying downstairs. Breakfast was good, with croissants, rolls, eggs, and more. You can make as much coffee as you like.
