B&B Villa Vos

We had the whole B&B to ourselves last June, which was lovely, and used it as a base to visit Giethoorn, the Hunnebedden, and more. The owners are so welcoming, breakfast was good, and the beds were really comfortable. The rooms are beautifully done, almost like a small boutique hotel, though we did miss having a screen to keep insects out. The old house has a fascinating history, and while the stairs creak, that comes with its age. Highly recommended!

Of all the places we stayed on our Pieterpad hike, B&B Villa Vos was the least pleasant. I don't understand why I can only find positive reviews. The room was cold, around 15 degrees, and the heating didn't work. It had no coffee maker or kettle, which I expected at a B&B in this price range, and the shower cabin in the bedroom had no proper ventilation. The toilet was out in the hallway, above the kitchen and stairwell, so you could hear everyone and they could hear you. That felt uncomfortable, especially after a day of hiking when I just wanted to rest. We didn't join the group's dinner because we both follow a special diet. There was then no option to use the kitchen or common area while observing COVID-19 measures, which added to the discomfort. The welcome itself was pleasant, but went on for a long time. Later that evening we got word that one of our parents had become unwell, so we quickly decided to head home and let them know. We heard nothing from them afterward.

We really enjoyed our stay. The wooded surroundings and easygoing atmosphere were lovely, and the bedroom was neat and tidy. We were greeted with a delicious cup of coffee or tea and some treats, then had fresh rolls and a generous breakfast. Such a lovely B&B! Best, Erik and Danielle

Right in the middle of nature, with hiking and cycling trails nearby, this is a unique B&B. It was well kept, and we got a warm welcome. Breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were ready to help. We had a really enjoyable weekend. Thanks again, Lianne and Aryan.
