Reggestee was a wonderful place to stay, with clean, cozy rooms and incredibly delicious breakfasts. Bernadien and Herman had thought of every detail. The location was just right for relaxing, cycling, walking the trails, and being close to nature. I loved seeing the cows and enjoying the slower pace of life. I've just come home to Canada feeling refreshed and inspired after the best trip ever. Thank you for such an incredible stay! :)

Today we were at a private party in the beautiful thatched farmhouse hall. The large oak tables and stylish decor suited the space well. We enjoyed the buffet, which could be chosen to suit your preference, and appreciated the service. On earlier cycling and hiking trips, we'd stopped several times at the self-service area and spacious terrace, a REST point in the lovely landscape near the Regge River. Coffee costs more here than at most other stops in the chain, but the machine is better than a Senseo. The cake also seemed pricey to us.

The B&B itself is beautiful, clean, tidy, and cozy. We stayed six nights for a particular reason I mentioned earlier. Breakfast for two was served under the outdoor awning: six rolls, two croissants, an egg, a little sweet topping, and two small slices each of cheese and savory toppings. They have a strict rule that uneaten food isn't provided the next day, so sadly we only got one egg a day. We also had to wash the breakfast dishes ourselves. We saw the hostess once, at our request, and she didn't even greet us. When we left, we put the key in a safe and went, without any further contact or seeing anyone. My suggestion is to stop running the B&B this way and rent the cottage out like a holiday park instead. Keep hosting the parties and events you organize, but let guests pick up the key, sort everything out themselves, and not see anyone.

We were accused of breaking a sunbed in an unfriendly email after our stay, even though it was already broken when we arrived. Nobody asked us about it or offered any evidence. That was the low point of a week that had several other problems. The farmhouse may look charming, but our arrival revealed a leaking tap, broken garden chairs, and worn swings. The towel package was just a few small, thin towels, like you'd shrug off at a campsite. The kitchen also lacked basics, including a cutting board for our group of seven. We later heard the utensils are shared with the function room next door, which might make sense to the landlord, but wasn't convenient for us. We had been told there'd be a party, with reassurance that a 70-year-old's celebration wouldn't bother us. But cheerful chatter carried on outside our bedroom window between 1 and 2 a.m. Apparently country quiet doesn't necessarily mean quiet after midnight. We treated the property carefully and respectfully, and don't recognize ourselves in the accusation or the way it was handled. If running a B&B isn't something you want to do properly, don't take guests and then direct your frustration at people who've done nothing wrong. We won't return. It's a shame, because with genuine hospitality, it could have been lovely.

We celebrated our wedding at De Reggestee on June 13, 2023, and couldn't have imagined a better day. Herman and Bernardien were friendly, open to discussing everything, and had every detail arranged. We held the ceremony out in the meadow by the Regge, which was a top location. If you're looking for a wedding venue, this is highly recommended.
