The tent was comfortable and roomy enough, and having our own bathroom was a real plus. The bathroom did have an unpleasant smell, though. I mentioned it at checkout, and they said they’d look into it. We booked this lovely place at the last minute during the busy summer season, and the pool was much appreciated in temperatures over 30 degrees. We didn’t explore much because of the heat wave, but there seemed to be some nice walks nearby.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and a big thanks to Alex, the assistant manager, for being understanding and helping me out. It’s a lovely, peaceful campsite among the trees. I’ll definitely be back soon!

The campsite and its facilities were nice, but only a few pitches had a table and bench. Each table had a number linked to a particular pitch. We borrowed one, took it to our assigned pitch, then put it back the next day. Check-in staff should ask whether campers want a table, or there should be one at every pitch. That’d be a pretty basic improvement and make more sense.

There are pedestrian entrances that lead straight to the forest footpaths, and they give you a map showing where they are. Bike hire is available too, so it’s easy to explore the forest. The campsite is right among the trees, with lovely pitches and good facilities, including a pool and a nice bar, cafe and reception building.
