Recreatiepark Wiringherlant

A calm, warm, lovely spot to unwind for a weekend or a week. I came for two days and have already booked another three. I'd give it five stars if the shower worked properly, since the water was slow and not warm enough. That's the only reason for my four stars.

It's a quiet, clean park with lovely cabins, and especially nice for a family holiday. There's a playground for kids, plus a restaurant, bar, reception and Caffèhouse. WiFi is available but doesn't reach everywhere. You can take a short walk toward the North Sea, though there's no beach there, so reaching one means driving for a while. There's no food shop on site, but the next village is only a few minutes away by car and has several supermarkets and everything else. A great place to stay if you're looking for a peaceful park by the North Sea.

The setting is relaxing and close to the sea, but the WiFi didn't work, the shower knob was broken, and there were red blood lice, apparently from chickens and birds. Those things alone weren't too bad. What bothered me was how the receptionist brushed them off when I mentioned them and made me feel difficult. We also had to pay 100EU in cleaning costs even though we still had to clean much of the house ourselves.

The rooms were cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly, and with so many people staying with dogs, it felt like a real paradise for them. A very good hotel.
