The atmosphere is great, with the woods and lighthouse right nearby. Staff were very friendly, and the breakfast included was amazing :-))

The room for sleeping is small, but it’s nicely furnished. If you’re used to camping and like a cozy, peaceful place with practical extras such as a dining room for breakfast or dinner, a bar, and a room to relax in, that works well. Kids are welcome and always bring inspiration. It’s all st Ameland 😀

I was here in September 2019, and found it to be a great hostel. The rooms were okay, and being so close to the beach was really convenient.

The rooms worked well for us, with good mattresses. Our triple room had plenty of space, a large shower, and a separate toilet. We came as a group of 70, and Merel was wonderfully helpful while we talked through what we wanted. During the weekend of April 18-22, the whole team stayed flexible and focused on finding solutions. One small group was delayed by the boat and arriving late, but they handled it without trouble and put up signs to guide each new arrival. They also rearranged the restaurant hall with no fuss as we moved from dinner to a pub quiz, then karaoke and dancing. The food was plentiful and very tasty, with everything replenished right to the last item. A visit works well whether you’re a couple or a group of 70 or 120. Compliments to Peter, Merel, the chef, and their teams.
