The food is the reason we'd return. Our four-course dinner was sensational, with creative flavour combinations, and breakfast felt like another restaurant-worthy meal, so fresh and mostly made in-house. The suites themselves aren't anything special, and the shower in particular wasn't great. The restaurant more than made up for that.

Set in a beautiful spot in the forest, the restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere and is nicely lit. Service was excellent and friendly, and the wine pairings worked well with the 4, 6, or 8 courses. You can also swap signature dishes into the menu. If there aren't rooms at the restaurant, there are other cosy hotels a 5-10 minute walk away.

A nice, clean, comfortable room for staying over after dinner. Bring an umbrella, since getting to the restaurant from the room means going outside.

I'd never been to a restaurant at this level before, and it was a great experience. We used a discount code for the occasion, and the meal with my girlfriend was one of the most delicious dates I've had.

We drove 40 minutes and arrived at 14:10, only to be told lunch was over at 14:00. Their website, which is only in Dutch, doesn't mention the cutoff. They offered us olives and sandwiches instead. :-/
