Sunny Shores of Huisduinen

The staff are what make this place stand out. They made my stays feel special, and I'm very grateful for their service. I've booked here for business trips over a couple of months, and so far it's the best hotel in Den Helder, with no real competition nearby. The location is fantastic for walks or runs, close to the beach and dunes. Rooms have plenty of space and comfortable beds, and breakfast offers a good range of choices. There's also an impressive gym, better than other hotel gyms and even official gyms I've used, plus a sauna where you can unwind. If I travel to the area again, I'll stay here without hesitation.

A very pleasant hotel on the edge of Den Helder, with good rooms and a restaurant. Breakfast was solid, and the town is close by. There's private parking on site.

We spent an hour or so in the pool, around 50-60 square metres, and used the saunas too. Don't skip them! The next morning's breakfast was one of the best we've had. We were in Den Helder on August 23 to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary, and booked one night at Grand Hotel Beatrix. It's well placed near the coast of the Black Sea and has a nice view out front. We ate dinner at the hotel's Meat Club. The goat cheese salad, burger, and fish dishes all sounded good, and what we tried was tasty. Be sure to add at least one Porn star Martini! 🥂 After breakfast, we left Den Helder for a little trip to Texel. More on that another time. ☕️

The restaurant was a 10 out of 10, and breakfast was outstanding too. I also liked having a coffee machine in the lobby. The hotel was spotless and well maintained, in a very safe area. Getting to the city centre meant a short taxi ride. We loved our stay.
