Cube Elite Noteboom 11

The garden facing the pond was lovely and very peaceful, and there were books and games in the cupboard. The house was clean inside when we arrived, and the furnishings still felt new. We had a good two weeks here and would book it again. We chose the place because it was new and expected a private owner to keep it in good shape. That was certainly the case. The location is a very short walk from the beach, while the garden stays fairly private, unlike at many other houses. Air conditioning came in handy several times. All the windows have fly screens, so we had no trouble with mosquitoes or insects, though flies did come in through the open patio door. A few things could be better. We missed having a toaster. One shower was enough for our family, but a second toilet or extra storage would have been more useful than the second shower. There was a broom and vacuum, but no mop, which we needed during a two-week family stay. The large kitchen table takes up a lot of room, and its uneven top kept making large plastic bottles tip over. Some of our dishes broke because of that. Rain dripping from the roof made an unpleasant, constant noise in the bedroom. The individually wrapped bed linens had some tears. Europarc handled the booking and service, including presumably the cleaning, which we will review separately. Outside, the house was dirty, and the patio furniture had cobwebs and bird droppings. That kept happening each day because of the animals and nature around the house, even after we cleaned it.
