Breakfast was freshly made and really good, served downstairs in a pleasant café-style room. The rooms are small, but they have what you need, including a private shower and WC for each room, each secured with its own key. That’s a real plus compared with B&Bs where the facilities are shared. The owner runs the place himself, from breakfast and cleaning to guest care and repairs. He said he bought it almost 20 years ago. It’s a proper one-man operation, and he deserves a lot of respect for it. The building was a blacksmith’s until the 60s and has welcomed guests ever since. There are lots of thoughtful little touches that make things easier, and the Dutch-style B&B has a nice feel to it. I loved staying here and will definitely return.

We stayed for two nights that weren’t consecutive, as part of a round trip, and were glad we did. The owner gave us a warm, friendly welcome, and the place was spotlessly clean with thoughtful personal touches that made it comfortable. Breakfast came in a lovely dining room, with breads, meat, cheese, yoghurt and more to choose from. The shower and toilet are separate, but both belong to your room, which also has a washbasin. I’d be happy to recommend a stay here.
