The spot was nice, but I barely slept. The mattress was tiny, worn out, and much too soft, and I could hear the people next door stomping around for hours. The shared toilet was right beside my bed. After two sleepless nights, I left even though I had paid for four. Definitely not for anyone who wants a good night's sleep.

I loved sitting on the porch in the evenings, looking out at the sea. The owners looked after me so well, and the place was clean, quiet, and beautifully decorated, with thoughtful little treats. Breakfast was lovely and healthy. The location worked perfectly for exploring the tulip fields: the bus stop is a minute away, the beach only minutes away, and local amenities are close by. I'm so glad I chose b&b aan Strand for my stay in Katwijk.

The hosts were so warm and welcoming. Everything was clean, and they brought our really tasty breakfast to the room because of Corona. Such a lovely B&B in a great spot.
