Molecaten Park Noordduinen

Our clean, well equipped chalet was a great base for a family holiday. It was quiet but central, just a five-minute walk from the beach and restaurants. The camp itself was super clean, with several playgrounds and an indoor pool, which we tried once when the sea might have been too cold. We didn’t get around to the kids’ animation programme because we had other plans. We had an amazing time, were sad to leave, and hope to visit again next year. There are several ways to stay here, with a tent, caravan or camper, or in one of the sweet Duin houses or brand new mobile homes. The service is fantastic, and the wash houses and restrooms are clean. The playground and animation could use a little upgrading, though they’re great for children aged 2-5. If you want a relaxed campsite next to the beach, this is a good place to stay.

We stayed in a house with parking, and everything was ready, including the utensils. It was reasonably clean, in a good location, and a very nice place. The main issue was all the mosquitoes. We didn’t have time to explore the area, but we did see a swimming area and a place for kids to play.

The site is large, and the showers and toilets were reasonable, but our pitch in the camper was very close to the waste tank and chemical toilet emptying point. At times the smell was disgusting. Both washing machines were out of order during our visit. There were also barking dogs, with constant yapping that made sitting outside unpleasant. It didn’t seem to bother their owners, or perhaps they’re totally deaf. Regretfully, I wouldn’t visit this site again.
