We followed the blue route and stopped at restaurant(de lemelerberg) for a cappuccino and a short break before tackling the last few kilometres. Earlier, after a little over an hour on foot, we’d had sandwiches and a drink on a hilltop with 360-degree views over eight cities and towns. It was such a clear morning that we could see for miles. The whole 14km walk was a lovely way to start the day: quiet countryside, birds all around, and only a few runners and dog walkers. Sunny weather helped, and we had a fantastic time taking pictures. Well worth doing if you’re in this part of Holland 🇳🇱.

The surrounding nature is impressive, and the pitches are generous and well organised. We brought our own caravan, so I left the room rating blank. The campsite was tidy and clearly cared for by staff who take pride in it. There are great walking and cycling opportunities nearby, and we’ll very likely come back.

The kids had plenty to keep them entertained, while it stayed quiet enough for us adults too. We’ve visited a couple of times and have enjoyed it each time :)

My trekker tent pitch was right beneath a large light pole that stayed on all night. It also wasn’t a calm or quiet campsite, so I wouldn’t recommend it for ordinary camping.

I loved how peaceful it was here, surrounded by forest, fresh air, and lovely views. These past few days were really relaxing. If you’re someone who loves nature, this is a great place to come.
