The food was tasteful and the interior very nice, but the service was poor. When my friends and I asked to pay separately, the waitress was highly disrespectful. She said it was too much work and insisted one of us pay for everyone, then split the bill. With a five-course menu and a couple of drinks, I didn’t want to pay such a large amount all at once. I expected better from a restaurant in this price range.

I only came for dinner, and the service was amazingly professional and polite. The food was delicious and there was a great choice of drinks. It’s also in a beautifully quiet little village, so picturesque. I’ll be back many times.

We had lunch in a cheerful, pleasant setting, but the way two waitresses treated people really put us off. They were unkind to us and impolite to my 89-year-old parents, who have trouble hearing in a noisy place, as well as to two elderly people at the next table. I’m not sure what their problem was. Maybe good staff are hard to find these days, but this is why we won’t come back.

I really enjoyed my one-night stay. The town feels very original, and the staff are so kind. I’d recommend it.
