Villa Zilverlinde

What really made our long weekend at Villa Zilverlinde was how warm and helpful everyone was. Erika was so friendly, Grieto was kind and gentle, and the team kept everything spotless. They made us feel at home, and nothing we asked for seemed like too much. Breakfast was flexible too, served whenever we wanted. Apart from the eggs, we could help ourselves to fresh sweet and savoury breads, butter, jams, hams, cheeses, tea, juices and more. The eggs were cooked however we liked, and on a nice day we could eat outside overlooking the pond. The garden has a bit of an enchanted forest feel. The villa itself is enormous, immaculately kept and beautifully decorated inside and out. Each suite has its own character, with quirky touches and funky artwork. It’s in a handy spot, about a ten-minute walk from Vorden, where there are supermarkets, restaurants, an ice cream parlour, the train station and even a castle. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time, and we’ll definitely come back. Thanks, everyone, for making it so much fun!

Lovely rooms, a very friendly host and a great location.

You can get drinks from the kitchen at any time of day or night, including beer, soft drinks and wine, and pay a reasonable price yourself at the little cash register. Breakfast is tasty and thoughtfully prepared, with rolls, toppings and drinks to help yourself to, plus extra rusk or crispbread if you need it. The house is peaceful, with birdsong the only sound in the morning. We appreciated the mosquito net around the bed, and it seems quite necessary in these woods, which are full of mosquitoes. This is a small, beautifully decorated hotel that really lives up to being called a villa. The rooms are furnished with care, the owner was very friendly, and the service was excellent.
