Camping de Watertoren

We arrived very late, after reception had closed, and had no reservation, but the staff were still welcoming and found us a great pitch and showed us around. The campground is spacious, the facilities are clean, and there’s a good play area for both little and bigger kids. There are nice hiking routes nearby. We’ll be back.

We were sorry to leave this peaceful, relaxing site. There’s loads for children to do, and we felt very safe. The park, pools, and facilities were all spot on, and although the campsite is fairly big, it still feels calm. The restaurant was closed quite often, which was a bit disappointing, but we managed to eat elsewhere without any trouble. Staff were lovely and helpful with local tips. Thanks for such a great stay.

We only used the pool and children's playground, so I can comment on the bungalow, access, and nearby restaurant rather than the campsite's dining area or terrace. The bungalow was very clean and easy to get around, and Watertoren is a wonderful restaurant a few minutes' walk away. You can also order delivery from places like Domino's Pizza. Our bungalow was a little smaller than it looked in the website photos, but there was enough room for a few days as a couple. The place is quiet and cozy, though some bungalows are privately owned, so neighbors may come and go. The grounds are big and worth exploring; behind the bungalow area there’s an empty green space used for campers during Pinkpop, and wild rabbits were hopping around.

A really nice campsite, and the washrooms and toilets were still clean. They’re a bit dated, though, and the water pressure is low. Prices also go up during Pinkpop. I’d recommend the place.
