I had a fantastic time at Sailing School De Lauwer. The location on the water is beautiful and makes a great place to learn. The instructors were patient and knew their stuff, which gave me much more confidence under sail. Whether you're new to it or already experienced, I'd highly recommend the school. It's a lovely spot to build your sailing skills and enjoy the nature.

I've been coming here eight years running, sometimes even twice in a year, and keep coming back with my friends because it's just the bomb. The instructors are super nice and fun, and keep us entertained every day. You can sail or windsurf, which I think is really cool, and you make loads of friends at the school. Everyone turns it into a great time, year after year. If you're after a fun week with sailing or windsurfing, this is the place. Cheers, Pieter and Huub.

I first came to De Lauwer as a kid, later taught there for a while, and still love going back. I've made lots of friends there over the years. You can book private sailing lessons, and kids up to 18 can spend a week at the school's summer sailing camp. That's what I did, and it was always my perfect holiday: sailing during the day, then theory and games in the evening with all sorts of fun kids. I was always sad when the week ended, even though I'd made so many new friends.

I rarely leave a negative Google review, but I've had enough. We paid over €550 for two days of sailing lessons. The first day was called off because the instructor was sick. That can happen, but you'd expect your money back, and we still haven't received it. On day two, a nice student came aboard, openly saying he'd never had a sailing lesson himself and wasn't an instructor. We paid for two days of lessons and didn't get them, and the refund still hasn't come.
