Hotel Vie Via

The digital setup made check-in and checkout easy, with no contact. The room and main door keys and everything else were straightforward. We were traveling with a researcher group, and the location worked well, about 15 minutes on foot from Leeuwarden main train station and 20 minutes from NHL Stenden University. The modern, cozy room had lovely design and architecture, comfortable bed and pillows, and was very quiet despite facing the street. Breakfast wasn't the usual kind: yogurt with a couple of cereal and topping choices, croissants, homemade local sweet breads, and smoothies or hot drinks from a machine. The one thing missing for me was water. I couldn't tell if it was for sale in the fridge, and there didn't seem to be a water option at the hotel. We loved everything else, especially the homelike lobby, a lovely place to sit and chat for a while. Great value, highly recommended. Thank you!

I was really impressed with this hotel. The rooms are clean, and the design is super cool and modern. Loved it all, highly recommend the place.

The reception-less, key-less setup surprised me. Just wow. The hotel and rooms are beautiful, with an amazing style. I loved the plant, decor, windows, and view, all so very Dutch. Great location, bed, and shower. Two years later, it's still my go-to place when I'm in Leeuwarden. On my third visit, I still chose this hotel.

The best thing about this hotel is its central location in Leeuwarden. Since it used to be a museum, the rooms have very high ceilings, but the decor is modern and very Spartan. There's no wardrobe or hanging rail, and most rooms don't have a TV, hence the Just Room title. Breakfast is manned and has very limited choices. At other times, drinks and snacks are self-service in the shop.
