We only stopped for coffee, but had a lovely, relaxing time at this cosy roadside restaurant.

One week, a shower costs 2.5; the next, it’s 10. According to the man at the cash register on Sunday, 15.09, you have to pay 10 E for a shower, coffee, and croissant. Is this a way to sell more coffee? They say you can’t pay for just a shower, and justify it by saying it’s the bosses’ decision.

I didn’t receive any information about how to let them know I’d be checking in late, and the numbers didn’t work, so there was no way to contact them. I ended up outside in the rain at night without the room I’d paid for. The next day, no one could answer or fix anything. The only response came by email, and it showed little interest in helping.

What a hidden gem! The shop is beautiful, and the staff are extremely warm and friendly. The food is reasonable and much better than what you’ll find along the highways here. The doggy room is a huge bonus.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable, this highway service area sits in a nature reserve. The staff are friendly, but keep your restaurant receipt in case your order doesn’t arrive. That’s why I gave it 4 stars.
