We liked the indoor pool, which was warm and a good size, and the trampoline in the playground was great. The house was okay, though it had some damage, and the garden and patio were covered in leaves. We asked for them to be cleared because we had to wade through them to reach the door, but only half were removed. The staff were extremely nice to native Dutch people, but not at all to foreigners. I’m not sure we’d come again.

The area is beautiful, but the service and stay left a lot to be desired. The bedrooms were tiny, and the AirCon didn’t reach them. We couldn’t open the windows because there were no screens, and mosquitoes were everywhere. Trying to enjoy the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi in our yard was hard with the landscaper running a trim hedger for hours. The loud saw went on all afternoon, and he declined to move to another area when we asked. The park was almost empty apart from our party, so it felt unreasonable to landscape right around our rental instead of a few houses away. The one yard he skipped while working around us all afternoon was ours, but he came back to do it the next morning before check-out. It would have been nice if he’d waited until then to come into our yard with the noisy saw. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Expect to pay extra for everything from the AirCon to throwing away trash.

We had booked our stay, and four days later the rooms went on sale, but they wouldn’t adjust our price. You pay extra for everything: AirCon costs 40 euros more, doesn’t reach the bedrooms, and the bedrooms themselves are like closets. Throwing away your garbage costs 1euro. The worst part was trying to enjoy the pool and sauna while the gardener spent hours cutting bushes around every nearby unit with his trimming saw. After several hours, we asked him to stop, but he refused. I later found out he kept trimming with the saw while my four year old niece was trying to get out of the car right beside the hedge. That was dangerous. The whole resort was empty, but he spent the entire day sawing around where we were staying. The sauna in the bathroom didn’t work. When we tried to switch it on, it shorted the electricity in the whole house, and when we asked for help, they refused. It felt like they didn’t care whether we could enjoy our vacation. I wouldn’t stay here if you want to relax.

A clean, quiet place to stay in nice surroundings, just outside Lichtenvoorde. It’s like a little cottage village. We rented a 55 m2 Chalet for up to 6 persons.
