Vakantie Chalet Makkum

There's a marina nearby, and the beach, restaurant, and supermarket are close by on site. Prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly. The nearest larger supermarket is about a 30-minute walk away. The chalet is lovely, as the pictures show, and dogs are allowed. There are plenty of dog waste bag dispensers and bins, plus nice playgrounds. I think the complex works well for children too. The landlady was very nice, helpful, and easy to deal with.

The chalet was spotlessly clean and modern, and the resort has what you need, including restaurants, a supermarket, and a beautiful beach. One issue for dog owners is that dogs are only allowed in the nature reserve during peak season. I found that unacceptable, and I'm sure other dog owners did too. The beach is so large that they could easily set aside a section for dogs, which would make the holiday perfect. The fence also needs to be higher for dogs, my Akita jumped over it without any trouble.

We spent such peaceful days on this lovely sailboat, sipping coffee on deck and enjoying how quiet it was. The boat had everything we needed. It was easy to climb down the swim ladder for a few laps or take a paddleboard out to look around. There’s even a shower pass for Makkum Marina, just a three-minute walk away, if showering on board isn’t your thing, and they provide a parking pass too. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely come back. Thanks so much for being so welcoming! :-)

You can walk to the beach from these chalets, and there’s parking right in front or beside them. They’re fully equipped with a kitchen, TV and so on. Just remember to bring your own towels, bedding and soap.
