We were close to the beach, supermarket and restaurants, which made the location really handy. My friend and I, both aged 25-35, also took kite surfing lessons at Surf N Sail and would recommend them. The villa was beautifully furnished, and we felt cozy and comfortable there. The host was very welcoming, and the host couple were supportive whenever we needed help, with good tips for exploring the area. Breakfast was great, and there was plenty of room in the shared kitchen to cook as well.

We had a lovely breakfast in a beautiful room, with plenty of variety and tasty eggs made fresh in different ways. The hotel was spotless, and those duvets were dreamy. It’s a real gem in central but quiet Makkum, kept with a lot of care and mixing antique and modern style. The hosts were wonderful, friendly and accommodating without making a fuss. Thank you so, so much.

Great place. The hostess was so nice. There are lots of shared rooms downstairs, including a living room with a beautiful seating area and art books. The dining room has a large table and seating by a fireplace, and the big kitchen has a fridge and everything for cooking. You can make your own breakfast there too. Great.

The owners are lovely and really good hosts. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and breakfast was well organized, with gluten-free bread for my sister because she has an intolerance.
