The jacuzzi was so close to our accommodation that drunk Russians partying in it woke us up at night. We called reception, but once the staff left, the disturbing noise started up again. This wasn’t the idyllic wellness retreat described on the website. We were traveling with a small baby and had expected somewhere quiet. The next day, we asked to move because the noise made it hard to get him to sleep. They wouldn’t offer any accommodation unless we paid for a new one. Staff also said we were imagining how loud it was because it was quiet everywhere. The service was absolutely horrible. The rooms are very small and low standard, there was mold in all the sauna corners, and the jacuzzi was ultra chlorinated. It was extremely loud. The location felt like a random field in the middle of nowhere. I’d avoid this at all costs.

We loved being able to bring our dog, who enjoyed the peaceful surroundings as much as we did. The weather was perfect for sitting outside and getting some fresh air. Mooi Twente Lodge was beautifully designed and surrounded by nature, and we felt at home from the moment we arrived. Everything was clean, well maintained, and private. The cozy, modern lodge had all the comforts we could ask for, and the sauna and jacuzzi were just what we needed to unwind.

The rooms and facilities were really nice, though Airbnb didn’t make clear how many containers there are. It looks like a camping ground. We booked in advance at Christmas for a January stay, and the prices were very high, so keep that in mind if you book. It’s in a nice, typical Dutch nature area. I’m not sure everyone would understand what I mean, but it seems several hotel companies have found that subletting container rooms through Airbnb and Booking works like clockwork.

We had a great stay and will certainly come back soon. The jacuzzi and sauna were really enjoyable, the beds were good all things considered, and the other appliances worked well and were easy to use. Staff at reception quickly sorted out the minor inconveniences. Cooking was less practical because there was only one sharp-ish knife and one cutting board. The couch wasn’t very comfortable, and the main pillow kept sliding off. Cleaning could’ve been more thorough, but it was acceptable.

The cabins are nicely appointed, and the bistro is excellent. A great place for a relaxing holiday. We loved the hot tub and the sauna in the bathroom.
