B&B 't Poorthuys

Simon and Peter made my week at B & B ‘t Poorthuys so enjoyable. They’re easy to talk to, genuinely kind, and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. My room was lovely, and it was cleaned and restocked every day. I slept well, too. Breakfast each morning had plenty to choose from, including bread, cheese, meat, eggs, and fruit. I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Middelburg or the nearby towns, and I’ll stay here again if I return.

Janine, the lady of the house, is wonderful. You can tell how much care goes into everything, especially the breakfast, which is prepared with love. The place is easy to get around from, and the rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and super clean. The cotton sheets were amazing. I’ll be back, and I highly recommend it.

We stayed for two nights, and the room was in tip-top shape. The owners were really friendly and shared helpful advice about things to do and where to park. The decor felt more like a proper hotel than a typical B&B. Breakfast downstairs was beautifully set out on trays, and both the food and presentation were amazing. Erg mooi plek!

The garden at the back is charming, and the inn feels warm, cozy, and comfortable. It’s a short walk from Middelburg’s markt square to the historic sights, shops, and restaurants. The staff were welcoming, the rooms clean and spacious, and breakfast was delicious and filling. A lovely place to stay, highly recommended.
