Rijksmonument Hotel de Sprenck

The old villa has stained glass windows, and the rooms look out onto a small lake and trees. The shower and bed were good, and the rooms were nice. Service was good too. I recommend this hotel.

The rooms are large by European standards, and there's free parking. You can get beer and spirits in the lounge and pay on the honor system. Breakfast is included and delicious. The grounds are well kept, and the building's architecture and stained glass are impressive. The staff were incredibly hospitable.

The room had coffee sticks, and the bathroom and shower were nice. The hotel had been renovated about three months before my visit, so everything looked new and freshly painted. They only serve breakfast, not dinner. Some rooms have a bath and some don't, so I'd call ahead. I'd recommend booking directly through their own site.

The bathroom was modern and first class, and breakfast was very nice, with nothing missing and nothing excessive for a hotel listed as three stars. It claims only three stars, though some touches felt more like four, including a bathrobe, slippers, and a full minibar. We stayed in what was probably the master's bedroom, with huge French windows and a matching balcony. The Belle Époque building became a hotel just a few years ago. The decor is a bit mixed, and the lamps could be upgraded. The rental bicycles are definitely rather primitive.
