Fort Resort Beemster

The room was cosy and comfortable, and breakfast the next day was absolutely delicious. We were there for our anniversary, and the wellness resort quickly became our number one after visiting places in several countries. It had a distinctive, partly brutalist feel, and everything felt clean and fresh. There were so many pools and saunas that we stayed busy all day. The sauna master gave us the best sauna experience we’ve ever had and left us feeling completely relaxed. It got a bit busy at times, though it was quieter later in the day. The four-course dinner was a little underwhelming: there was good variety, but the food quality was average. We still had an amazing time and look forward to returning.

I go once a week for the spa and opgieting. Great value for money, and the best spa in the Netherlands, with lovely nature around it. I’ve stayed overnight twice too. It isn’t cheap, but it’s okay.

Our little break at Bali Island was second to none. The room came with towels, flip flops, a bathrobe, and a bottle of champagne. We booked dinner at Poterne Restaurant and breakfast the next morning, and really enjoyed the whole stay. Thanks so much, we’ll be back.

Everything was clean, and it’s a nice place to relax and enjoy the spa. I highly recommend the aromatherapy session in the sauna. The restaurant staff were a bit rude.
