The room was super cozy, and breakfast was one of the best parts of our stay. Ingrid was the sweetest host and gave us the typical fries suikerbrood. I still think about it! She also suggested a night walk, where we got to see so many stars. Staying here felt like being at a friend's house :)

Ingrid made us feel welcome from the moment she greeted us at the parking lot, and her local tips were great. When the weather changed our stargazing plans, she helped us book a visit to a nearby alpaca farm, which became a highlight of the trip. We’d come north hoping to find a place to watch the stars and discovered B&B Lauwersstate, a real hidden gem and one of our best travel decisions. It’s a beautifully restored farmhouse with a high thatched roof. The place was spotless and recently renovated, with thoughtful design, a fresh, cozy room, and a bathroom that looked brand new. The shared kitchen had a fridge, coffee maker, kettle, and plenty of room to enjoy our own food. With its peaceful setting and Ingrid’s hospitality, I’d absolutely recommend staying here if you’re in the north. We’ll definitely be back!

Ingrid, the owner, was very nice and accommodating, and breakfast was superb. This recently refurbished old farmhouse is a cozy place, with lovely details in the furnishings and facilities. You can also use the breakfast room in the evening and get drinks from the refrigerator. A perfect stopover, or somewhere to stay longer.

A nice place with a very nice host. There isn’t much to do in the village, though.

A nice countryside spot to sleep and have breakfast.
