Best Western Hotel De Rustende Jager

The rooms were nice, and the location worked really well, about 15 minutes from both Amsterdam and Keukenhof. But the cleaning really got on my nerves. I was there for three nights, and they didn’t even take out the garbage.

I liked the stay and the large, comfortable room. I was there for several nights in January, and the bed was fairly comfortable too. Breakfast was available in the restaurant attached to the hotel. The trains ran regularly and connected well, and the station was within walking or driving distance. There’s a Jumbo and Hema nearby, plus a parking lot in front of the hotel. Amsterdam and Schipol aren’t too far away. Room service was easy to request with the card on the door, and it was very good apart from one thing: they didn’t refill the soap, so there wasn’t enough for the shower.

The bed was comfortable, and having it right across from the TV was a nice touch for us. The room itself was modern and really roomy, with everything we could have needed, from an iron to extra pillows. We loved this hotel.

The room felt like home, spotless and tidy, and the hotel had paid attention to the small details that made the stay pleasant. The staff were lovely to deal with every time, and the service was at a very high level. I stayed in December 2020, while pandemic restrictions meant some services weren’t available, but we still had a really good stay. I thought the price was just right for what we got, and we’d choose this hotel again if we get the chance.
