Apollo Hotel

The location is spot on, the price was good, and the receptionists were very friendly. Thanks to the morning shift Madam for the helpful tips about the city. It’s an older hotel with no amenities or parking, so you use a nearby garage, and there’s no elevator either, though it’s only two floors. Still, the basics were all right: everything in the room worked, it was clean and spacious, and the view was great. I’d come back for a longer visit.

The building looks a little grim from outside, but inside the rooms are a decent size and have a good shower. Staff were welcoming, and there was air conditioning and a coffee machine in the room. It’s close to the train station and an easy walk to all the fun places. For the price, I’m very happy.

We spent a few nights here while our trekking bikes were being repaired. It was quiet and clean, and the price felt fair, especially for this location. Apollo Hotel was good value, and I’d stay again.

Nothing fancy, but the rooms were comfortable enough and the staff were friendly. It’s a good basic hotel for an overnight stay, about a 10-minute walk from the train station. If your room faces the street, though, keeping the window open can be tough: people in the bike parking lot below were noisy throughout the night, especially young people laughing and taking a long time to say goodbye.
