We came back for a long weekend after falling for Zeeland on an earlier visit. Hotel Schuddebeurs is set among greenery and woods on Schouwen-Duiveland, right in the middle of Zeeland, and it's wonderfully quiet. Our suite was cozy and beautifully furnished, and the terrace felt like a peaceful little retreat. It was worth the high price. Everything was clean, especially the whirlpool bathroom, which looked immaculate and almost new. The living room decor wasn't quite as tasteful as the rest, though that barely affected our stay. We spent the whole weekend eating at the restaurant and were really impressed. The owner runs it himself, and his passion and experience come through. The food is refined and high quality, with a clear emphasis on local ingredients. A relaxing place to enjoy and come back to.

We cycled to this lovely old inn, tucked away in a tiny hamlet. Its excellent restaurant is the main attraction, with terrific food and top-notch service. Dinner was fantastic, and the breakfast buffet was very good. The place was clean and the gardens lovely. Our room, though, was very small and had no air conditioning. The window only opened a few inches for a breeze, and in July it still felt quite warm.

A special setting in a quiet little wooded grove, with birds singing and a fantastic garden. The restaurant is first class, and the owner and staff go out of their way to give top-notch service. An absolute gem, just out of this world!

A cozy, characterful hotel and a great base for exploring Zeeland. The rooms are spacious and laid out well. I'd choose a garden room with a nice terrace. There's an excellent restaurant too, where you can enjoy local seafood. I can wholeheartedly recommend the lobster arrangement.
