We loved the koi pond in the garden and looked at it every day, since we're fish fans. The hotel is right next to the shopping street, handy for picking up a snack or browsing the shops. Getting to Zwolle train station is really easy, and the location also works well for Defqon. The welcome was very warm, with a thorough explanation of the room as soon as we arrived. Breakfast was excellent, especially being able to have an egg made just the way you like it each day. If you're going to Defqon, this place is highly recommended. The host's suggested taxi driver was a great insider tip too!

A really convenient base for a longer trip, especially with parking off the street. Debora & Marcèl were warm and welcoming, and the apartment was lovely and luxurious.

We spent two nights here and found the hosts gracious and helpful. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean, and that huge bathtub carved from a single piece of stone was incredible. It looked big enough for 10, and I've never seen anything like it at all the hotels I've stayed in. For what you pay, the value is amazing. I've had similar stays in Napa with a Jacuzzi instead of the stone bath for about $500 a night. Nunspeet, in The Veluwe, may be a sleepy town, but this place is a real gem. The town is very bike-friendly, even by Dutch standards, and the nature is beautiful, so rent bicycles from the owner and ride around. The nearby Kroller Muller Museum is worth checking out, and mustard soup at a local restaurant is a very good local dish. One thing I'd skip is the restaurant the owner recommended. It was overpriced and the food wasn't good, so I'd try somewhere more low-key in the area. Do stay at De Droomhoeve.
