Really great.
The owners are friendly and easy to get to know, and the campsite is quiet. The chalet has everything you need. Some air conditioning would be nice on a hot summer day, but with everything turned up in the evening, it's perfectly comfortable. The chickens are so tame they come right up to you. Such a lovely farm campsite 🥰
We found it a fantastic mini-campsite, clean and spacious, with extremely large pitches for caravans. Motorhomes have a separate paved area with grass. The owners were very friendly, and there are a vegetable garden and chickens too. The facilities are excellent: clean sanitary areas, toilet paper and hand soap, and two modern bathrooms, each with a toilet, sink, and open shower. There's a dishwashing room with two sinks plus a separate sink for cleaning vegetables. Guests can use a shared fridge and freezer, washing machine and dryer, and a large clothesline. It's centrally located for Oostkapelle beach and Domburg Zoutelande, both easy to reach by bike or moped. The price for two people with a motorhome was great, and €32.60 in tourist tax is really cheap for this area. Highly recommended.
The best part was how warmly the owners welcomed us. They even put on a fantastic, cozy barbecue for free, and were always ready to help. The green setting was lovely and gave us plenty of privacy, while the chalet itself was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location worked really well for cycling. Oranjezon beach is close by bike, and Veere, Middelburg, and Vlissingen are easy to get to. Around this part of Walcheren, high hedges line many cycle paths and small roads, which helps keep the often strong wind off you. And we don't have electric bikes! A wonderful mini-campsite with a relaxed feel.
The only bothersome part was some morning noise: when a few caravans left early, their pitches were mowed and tended straight away, with engines and tractors running for a while. That probably helps keep the spots in such good shape for the next guest. We spent two nights in our Opel Crosscamp Lite on a camper pitch and got a very warm welcome. The owners are diligent about keeping everything pristine and have a pleasant, no-nonsense approach. The modern sanitary facilities were immaculate, and the showers don't have push buttons, which was a relief. It's a quiet campsite, though you can hear some distant traffic since Zeeland isn't completely deserted. A smaller side road leads to an easy connection with a cycle-only route. Bikes can be stored and charged in a locked shed. There's also a shared fridge and freezer, plus washing and drying facilities. Truly a top-notch campsite!
