Gezond aan Zee met sauna en jacuzzi

We brought our dog, Storm, and didn't need much. The Zeester room was small but clean and tidy, and the bathroom was perfectly fine, nearly as large as the room. It worked for one night, though I wouldn't want to stay longer because the mattress was so poor I could feel the coil springs. It's a shame, since everything else was well maintained. The stairs up are steep and the steps are very short, so they won't suit everyone. The owner should replace the Zeester mattress soon. That room is going to waste with a bed like that.

Great location, an easy walk to the city center. The room was spotless and tidy, and the shower was wonderful. It was somewhat noisy, and breakfast meant sharing the kitchen with everyone and making it yourself. If you don't mind baking bread, boiling eggs, and setting the table, you may love it. I wasn't keen on that part, since when I go away overnight I like not having to think about anything.

We were here for one night for my mother's birthday, but neither of us slept well. There was a steady beeping from the fire alarm overnight. I think it needed a new battery, but the ceiling was too high for me to reach it, and I didn't want to bother anyone at 1:30 AM. My mother kept sliding around on the plastic mattress cover and couldn't sleep. Once the cover was removed, I slept upstairs without proper bedding, luckily I had a sleeping bag in my car. The synthetic linen and pillows need replacing too, in my opinion. I've stayed in cheaper B&Bs, but a decent bed matters. This mattress is also very soft, which may suit some people. For the price, the quality doesn't really add up, though I get that overnight stays in Ouddorp are expensive. A few hooks are loose and the shower leaks. The self-service breakfast was meager but okay. There is outdoor seating and good free parking. The concrete stairs upstairs are sturdy and have a good handrail, but they're steep. This B&B needs some fine-tuning. It would be a shame to let the place go like this. The owner should take a critical look at the room and sleep on the bed themselves.

Everything was very clean, and the room and apartment had all sorts of amenities. The large bed was very comfortable, and the shower was fantastic, with a steam sauna function. There's also a whirlpool for two in the room. The freestanding toilet is a bit unusual, but the hallway toilet is very clean and easy to use. We didn't use the kitchen or shared spaces, though they looked inviting. We'd love to return.
