Oasis Punt-West Hotel & Beach Resort

We spent a lot of time just watching the sea, sailboats, and surfers, or taking in the sunset from the terrace. The quiet made it easy to switch off, and our villa, No 13, was gorgeous, modern, and set in a dreamy spot. This was our first visit to Beach Resort Punt West, but we’d happily come back. There’s plenty to do nearby too, from the dunes and “Bunker Route” to a surfing course at “Brouwers Dam Eat & SEA,” plus lots of restaurants and other activities. We also took a RIB boat tour, which was fantastic. It’s a lovely part of the world to live in, too. The team at Beach Resort Punt West helped make it an unforgettable, relaxing break. Greetings!

We loved having our dog with us, and the villa was well set up for quiet evenings, with several large TVs and complimentary Netflix. It also had a fully equipped kitchen, two air-conditioned bedrooms, and two bathrooms with rain showers that felt like a spa. The best part was the terrace, with its stunning sea views. We spent hours outside enjoying the sun and the sounds of the water, and the heated terrace was a welcome extra on cooler days. Villa n°36 was beautifully designed, with lots of attention to detail. A fantastic stay by the sea, and we can’t wait to return.

Meal planning takes a bit of thought here, since there aren’t many food options close by. A short drive gets you to some good restaurants, though, or you can bring groceries and cook. Westpunt is peaceful and scenic, with lovely holiday homes near beautiful beaches and great water views. The water is cold, but a quick swim feels refreshing. It’s a lovely choice for a quiet break surrounded by nature.

I really liked the place and felt very welcome. The location is great, the houses are well equipped, and the service team was supportive. But our holiday wasn’t ideal because the VIP villa’s AC was out of order. We were told this before arrival, and there were even stickers on the unit saying it didn’t work. It was hot indoors, so we had to sleep with the doors open. That brought its own problem: as evening came, these really annoying insects on the terrace would jump onto you and get into the house. I got so stressed that I couldn’t sleep for a couple of nights. One bathroom smelled bad too, though keeping its door shut helped. There are a couple of stair areas in the house, so it’s not completely safe with kids, but we were okay with that. I hope these issues can be improved over time.
