Fletcher Familiehotel Paterswolde

The pool and sauna are the only reasons I'd give this hotel two stars. The rooms are run down, and service comes close to rude. Every time I used the lift, I worried it might get stuck. The hotel isn't by the water, the A/C is useless, and the mattresses are extremely soft and so worn that the springs kept me awake. This is absolutely not value for money. I'd strongly suggest spending your euros elsewhere.

A very good experience overall, and a place that's well worth visiting. The location and amenities are excellent, though the room mattress could be better.

Getting to the city center was difficult, since the only option was a bus that cost €6 for a single trip. In the room, the carpet was stained and dirty, the bedsheets weren't changed during our three-night stay, and the broken window let in so much cold that maximum heating didn't help.

The rooms feel outdated, and breakfast is a basic buffet. The hotel has a nice terrace, a large parking area, and is near a lake, with Restaurant Loetje next door.
