De Sluiskop

I was completely dissatisfied after staying one night. I left early the next morning without breakfast, and I won't ever go back. The room was really hot with no AC, the washrooms smelled, the towels were dirty, and there was no breakfast facility in the morning. The bed arrangement wasn't proper, and the staff were rude. For 95€ a night, I felt I got nothing. The online pictures and guests you see are fake, and Booking.com should remove this hotel from its list. A very poor experience, not recommended.

Free parking was plentiful, and the neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. The young guy at reception was extremely nice, and the rooms were decent, though we'd booked a double bed and got two singles. My girlfriend and I are in our early twenties, and we got the impression that our age, which didn't seem common there, led to a bit of disrespect and a cold attitude. When I asked about staying another night, the answer was, “no, no, no, we might be expecting people.” Still, the rooms weren't bad at all.

It's in a peaceful spot, about a 15-minute walk from Pernis metro, which worked well for staying a bit away from the city. The food was great, the staff were very polite, and I could even make video calls outside the rooms because the Wi-Fi was so good. I really liked this hotel.

The stairs were very narrow, so getting our luggage up was quite difficult. Apart from that, I had a very good stay: the rooms had plenty of space, and the crew were really nice and accommodating. A very nice hotel.
