We had a little child with us, and the staff provided a small bed. They were pleasant, though we barely interacted. We didn’t order breakfast, so I can’t comment on the food or the other parts of the hotel. The hotel is in a good spot, not in the forest itself but not far away. We stayed one night in a clean, lovely deluxe room with a very warm bathroom, a bath, and a shower. It also had a mini fridge, kettle, and capsule coffee machine. I didn’t like having the bed opposite the entrance, and there were no drinking glasses. The floors were relatively clean compared with other Dutch hotels I’ve stayed in. Overall, the price matched what we got.

It’s a beautiful hotel, and the staff were friendly, but the rooms are missing a lot. There were no washcloths, tissues, or USB charging ports.

We booked two twin rooms, both comfortable and well equipped, and there’s dedicated disabled parking with access to reception, dining areas, and the rooms we used. Check-in was quick and courteous, and the service stayed just as good throughout. The place was clean and seemed well run. Dinner was well cooked and served in generous portions, and breakfast was a very nice buffet. We’d happily stay again.

I travel often and have Genius Level 3 on Booking.com, but I’ve never before stayed in a room without a bottle of water. Even two-star hotels have one. It feels like penny-pinching. Another problem: there’s no button to switch off the lights from bed, so you have to get up to turn them off. That’s tiring. It’s 2025, after all, not ancient times.
