Numa Rotterdam Coolsingel

The room was immaculate, with a comfy bed, soft, cosy lighting, and a clean, practical bathroom. I also liked having the kitchenette, even though I didn’t use it. Getting into the hotel and room was easy, and check-in and check-out were a breeze. We were here for two nights to celebrate my birthday and our 8-year anniversary. The location is central, with a McDonald's and Metro station right outside, shops all around, and Rotterdam Central Station just a 15-minute walk away. I’ll definitely come back to Numa next time we visit Rotterdam.

The room and location were okay, though the area didn’t feel very safe or charming. People were making noise in the courtyard around 3 to 4am. It’s an unmanned hotel, and the smoke detectors go off very often.

Our 4-day stay was smooth and easy, with no problems at all. The place was clean, comfortable, airy and practical, and right in the centre. Thank you!

The fire alarm went off on my first night at 22:30. It’s very sensitive, and everyone had to gather in the street below and wait for it to stop. Other reviews and friends who stayed here say this happens to them too. There’s even a plaque in the room saying the alarm is sensitive and to open the windows, so it seems to be a regular issue that guests should know about. Especially with kids: some people were waiting outside with their child asleep on their lap.
